Something Gwen loves to say is “this makes me happy…in my pants” because she’s mature like that. One day we decided it was entirely possible to be sad…in your pants. Then we started to use this all the time. Then it turned into just having “sad pants.” Then we laughed, a lot. Still, when I think of it, I giggle. Gwen then drew this, which is sad pant’s mascot I guess.
So the real question is, do you have sad pants today?

Me: Keanu Reeves needs to be in silent films and just, you know, lay there.
Gwen: That would be a picture.

- Gwen actually asked me if she could go see the NBSS in Boston, which just so happens to be where my husband went to school for training. How random is that??
- Nothing really phases her, not Boston traffic or porn books or Aurora.
- Both Manly Man and Gwen do great accents, which they did basically the entire time we were at a cafe Friday night. If only I’d had a video camera.
- At the movies on Friday seeing The Men Who Stare At Goats there were obnoxious teenagers making commentary that were very close to being punched by one of us and a woman in front of us texting. Who pays $10 to see a movie and then not watch the fucking movie??
- Gwen really is a great cook, she made us these noodles and california rolls. Today she’ll make us little pies.
- She’s way easy going to the point that she just doesn’t care either way, Manly Man is often the same way. Can you guess who makes most of the decisions?
- We did in fact giggle everytime Kevin Spacey came on screen during the movie.
You can see pictures on Facebook and my flickr.

Attention: It’s 2 weeks until Hurricane Gwen :gwen:

Due to the upcoming event I have learned I am not the Bostonian I thought I was. I can’t think of anything local to offer her other than baked beans and who hasn’t had baked beans? Are Boston’s baked beans really that much better? I have no idea.
Luckily I have been to probably just about every landmark. I’ve been to the Museum of Fine Arts and practically fallen asleep at Fenway Park. Have I been to wherever the football games are? Beats me. I’m going to assume I haven’t.
I didn’t know anything about “The Curse of the Bambino” until like 10 years ago. I guess that explains why I wasn’t all that excited when we beat “the curse” a few years ago. I think I’ve only been to 2 Red Sox games, that I can remember, and the last one I went to I missed the entire game because I was too busy talking. I don’t think I’ve ever watched an entire game.
While I was born in Boston and spent many years living just outside of Boston I do speak all my Rs, most likely because I went to a private school for years. I am technically more “Boston” than most of my friends who actually have a Boston accent.
I still don’t entirely know who Ted Williams is but I know there is a tunnel named after him or I assume that’s the deal, unless he was named after the tunnel which would just be weird. I’m not even sure which tunnel it is.
I do however, say “wicked” a lot, so there’s that
