Must clarify that this came about because we were watching The Big Bang Theory and I must also note I’ve never watched a single episode of Star Trek other than the animated episode that Gwen forced me to watch.

Him: Do you even know who Wil Wheaton is?

Me: Of course I do.

Him: Well?

Me: He was in Star Trek and Stand By Me.

Him: Well who did he play in Star Trek?

Me: [thinking]

Him: See! You don’t know!

Me: I do know that the Star Trek he was on had also the guy from Reading Rainbow!

Him: Nice! Who was the Captain?

Me: Captain?

Him: Yeah…

Me: Ahhh…he’s bald…

Him: Yeah???

Me: Captain Picard!!

Him: [dumbfounded]

Me: I rule!

Manly Man: Hot?

Me: Uh…yeah!?!

Manly Man: He looks like a turtle.

Me: I’m telling Gwen you said that!

ps. You should know a lot of our conversations end with “I’m going to tell Gwen you said that!”

Something Gwen loves to say is “this makes me happy…in my pants” because she’s mature like that. One day we decided it was entirely possible to be sad…in your pants. Then we started to use this all the time. Then it turned into just having “sad pants.” Then we laughed, a lot. Still, when I think of it, I giggle. Gwen then drew this, which is sad pant’s mascot I guess.

So the real question is, do you have sad pants today?

Me: Keanu Reeves needs to be in silent films and just, you know, lay there.
Gwen: That would be a picture.

• Everywhere we go we’ll both be pointing to things like food or objects and saying “have you seen/heard of this before?” “what about this?”
• Being included in our in-depth conversations with the cats.
• The joy that is Boston drivers.
• Giggles everytime she says “garage”. However most people we know do not even have a garage so it may be tough to bring it into conversation.
• Seeing all of Manly Man’s collections such as his cereal box collection, candy wrappers collection and all his Edward Gorey.
• Being lured by Lucy-fur’s Aurora’s cuteness only to quickly be bitchslapped by her.
• My burping.
• The Wonder Twins :robin:
• Falling in love with Boston.

What I know I’m in store for:

• Listening to Manly Man and Gwen babble on and on about stuff I don’t know anything about.

Then, since it was Gwen’s night to host, I tried to login under my other name but realized I’d changed the username so I couldn’t login. Then I noticed that it didn’t seem Gwen was anywhere to be found, so I logged in under the host name, that’s why there is probably about a minute of dead air at the beginning. I think I did ok for the first 10 minutes by myself, there is no crying in radio!

We talked about the different kinds of superstitions, how superstitions sometimes turn into OCD, and those dreaded wedding superstitions. We talked about the number 13, how so many people are afraid of it and how apparently if your name is 13 letters then you are the devil.

So, do you follow any superstitions? Do you avoid cracks in the sidewalk, black cats and ladders? Do you throw salt at the devil over your shoulder? Fess up.

Gwen sent Manly Man something very special by mail, it only took about 2 months for it to get here from Canada.

Would it be better if we change our time slot to 5:00 pm EST (instead of 6:00) or would you probably not listen to it anyway. It’s ok, I really don’t listen to radio shows when they are actually on, I’m more of a podcast kind of girl. Speaking of that, have any of you listened to any of our podcasts? This past episode we discussed books that were turned into movies. We talked about American Psycho, Anne of Green Gables, James Bond, comic book adaptations and really in depth about The Shining (we have no idea why). We are still learning how to properly start a show and end a show but you know, we get so into our topics that we just kind of forget that we have a time limit.

Next week we are discussing parenting, because you know, we have so much experience with it and all. If you want to give your own opinions having actual maybe experience with it or something, please feel free to bring up questions in the chat room or even call in.
