Best Store Bought Mac & Cheese

Let’s not pretend that any of us really want to make this stuff from scratch. I realize how awful the Kraft Mac & Cheese is but it’s so damn good. Something my husband and I learned over the years (as we’ve had night we don’t want to cook and want something easy and yummy) that Mac & Cheese is an easy option to choose. We try not to choose it to often but in the winter it happens more than I’d like to admit.

Something we learned recently was that there is one kind of Kraft M&C that is FAR better than another kind and I was thinking everyone needed to know this STAT. We used to always get the original brand, because that’s what you get.

Then I remembered that once I had the Three Cheese shells and loved it so even though my husband was skeptical we got a package of the shells just to give it a try. We both agreed the shells were far superior to the original elbows and we still comment sometimes about how much better the shells are and why anyone would bother with the stupid original kind.

Three Cheese Shells

Maybe someday when life calms down a bit we’ll try and find a recipe that we can make, that’s a bit healthier, that is similar to the store bought three cheese shells. For now, these do the trick when we need it.

I have not been able to find this stuff near me for the longest time and it’s my fave!!!!!!!! I’m so jealous! P.S. I use mac and cheese sometimes for casseroles… heat up a ham steak, cut it into pieces. Heat up some broccoli and mix it with the ham and the mac and cheese. Bake it for a wee bit (might have to add a lil’ milk so the noodles don’t get hard, but just a little or the cheese gets runny). Yum!

I’m rarely a fan of meat and cheese together, I know I’m weird. I can’t believe they don’t have the shells around where you live, that’s a travesty. You need to try another supermarket or Target.

I generally hate meat and cheese together, so I probably wouldn’t like that but maybe someday I’ll throw some broccoli in it. Manly Man tried some tuna in his last night, did not go well.
