You May Now Have Your First Exchange of Saliva

Do you remember your very first kiss? Do you remember how awkward and uncomfortable it was? Maybe it took forever to happen or maybe it was just really bad. Maybe he kisses will all tongue or maybe she has a mouth full of braces.

Now, can you imagine that moment in front of all your family and friends? Everyone is staring at you in your wedding gown and he’s in his tux and here you are having your first lip lock. I don’t know about you but that sounds like what nightmares are made of.

Well, I keep hearing on television about how some couples are not only waiting to have sex before marriage but also waiting to have their first kiss. When they show their first kiss it makes me cringe as it’s 100x worse than my first kiss and I think we both had braces too! What’s the next step? Arranged marriages so they don’t even meet until their wedding day?

I feel like I’m in this weird zone in this strange world. Right now it seems there are either kids waiting for marriage for their first kiss or there are kids getting knocked up left and right at age 15. Am I strange for just being somewhere in the middle? What happened to kids just waiting until it felt right and until they were ready?

Fuck, does that make me a prude?

That’s about as idiotic as the ones who call it “saving themselves” because they don’t have intercourse but do just about everything else, including oral sex. It’s as much about the intimacy as the acts themselves.

    You are not a prude.

P.S. Can the font in the comments be made larger cause I can barely see it when i am typing*smile*

@Liz Hill: It’s amusing, really, that people think any of this waiting and holding out will result in a better marriage but in time they will learn…oh they will learn…

I couldn’t imagine…what if he/she is a bad kisser? What if you realize that there isn’t a “spark?” It sounds like being nothing more than BFFs really!

@B: I believe this concept either means that many more unhappy marriages or that many more divorces. There is only so long you can ignore this.

God, how awkward. And stupid. What if he uses too much tongue or is really slobbery? Then you’re stuck with that. I don’t even want to get into to the fact that they’re not having sex first.

@Amanda: Think of the worst kisser you’ve ever kissed, now imagine being married to that guy.
