Something That Inspires You

Normally I’d say photography but that’s a given. Something else that inspires me is my friends, who mean as much to me, sometimes more, than my family. Several of my friends I consider a part of my family, whether that’s a good thing or not.

I’ve learned so much from so many of you and am still amazed at the lengths they will go for me. I’ve had friends who will stand up for me over and over again. They are always there, by email or phone call or whatever. It’s the friends that I can say anything to, be completely honest with and be exactly who I am that truly inspire me.

So many times I’ve either called you late at night needing to talk or written a long drawn out email looking for advice. So many times I’ve called you out on something and whether you agree or not you respect my view. So many times you’ve made me laugh when I can barely keep it together. So many times you’ve reached out to me just because you can tell something is not right.

It’s my friends who inspire me to try new things or push me when I think I can’t go any further. It’s my friends who make everyday more interesting with all the emails, comments, and texts.  My friends are a big part of who I am today and how far I have come. Every single day I think about how lucky I am to have the friends that I have. I don’t know where I’d be without you.

I agree; I feel the same way about mine. Often, more than family. Nicely said.

I’m surprised you didn’t just post pics of Kevin Spacey.

@Grant: I know but I figure everyone is very aware of how he inspires me.

@Liz Hill: It can be sad watching friends who were once so important fall away but it just makes the friends who are still there mean so much more.
