Not a Peep

Keeping quiet might look guilty.

The silence leaves others to imagine.

No words and others find their own to fill the space.

But my conscience is clear as I keep my thoughts to myself.

Instead of responding to threats I take a deep breath and move on.

Instead of reacting to negativity I look instead for something positive to focus on.

The more they talk.

The more they react.

The less I want to give.

There are no words for this, there is no answer.

I know where I stand. I know what happened.

That’s enough.

Keeping quiet is sometimes the only solution.

@Avitable: oh i agree, but when you’ve been doing it for months it gets really hard to do.
