Our show last night was our 13th episode and since it was on the 13th of September we decided to do a show about superstitions. The show got off to a rough start. Right before the show I dropped a huge book on my foot and my scream was probably heard throughout the neighborhood.

Then, since it was Gwen’s night to host, I tried to login under my other name but realized I’d changed the username so I couldn’t login. Then I noticed that it didn’t seem Gwen was anywhere to be found, so I logged in under the host name, that’s why there is probably about a minute of dead air at the beginning. I think I did ok for the first 10 minutes by myself, there is no crying in radio!

We talked about the different kinds of superstitions, how superstitions sometimes turn into OCD, and those dreaded wedding superstitions. We talked about the number 13, how so many people are afraid of it and how apparently if your name is 13 letters then you are the devil.

So, do you follow any superstitions? Do you avoid cracks in the sidewalk, black cats and ladders? Do you throw salt at the devil over your shoulder? Fess up.

Don’t miss next week’s show since the topic is Kink and we all know you guys have a lot to share about that.

A black cat crossed my path on the way home Saturday. I wonder if it’s still bad luck if you run over the kitty (I didn’t).

I confess: I still don’t swallow watermelon seeds because my brothers once told me that watermelon would grow out of my head. I closely monitored the bump on my head for several months afterwards. Oh. Wait. You’re talking about superstition, not stupidity. Oh. Never mind then… 😉

I don’t know how much I actually believe in this, but when I was playing hockey, if my team won (rarely), I wouldn’t wash my jersey until we lost a game.
