I’m not sure how we got on this discussion

Me: I can’t believe I’m going to be thirty-something soon. Not just thirty but thirty-something.
Him: Yeah :lmao:
Me: Those people are old, that can’t be me :annoyed:
Him: You’ve been thirty-something for a year now though.
Me: No I haven’t. Thirty isn’t thirty-something. Thirty is thirty-nothing.
Him: Once you turn thirty you are thirty and one day or two or 43 days, so that’s something.
Me: Nobody counts by days, nobody says “I’m 37 and 67 days.”
Him: It doesn’t matter, that’s what it is.
Me: :rolleyes:

I still don’t buy it, what about you?

    When people ask how old I am, I say “I’m 33. Actually, I’m 33 and a half. I’ll be 34 in June.” You know, like a kid would. :D

    Oooh! Happy Birthday!

    Remember that TV show, Thirty-Something? One of the ladies who was on it, Polly Draper, is the mother of Nat & Alex Wolff, who are ‘The Naked Brothers Band’ (which, I realize, you probably know nothing about – not having teens or preteens hanging around you…). Anyway, they have a show on Nickelodeon & they are not half-bad, musically – especially for their age. Al & I went to see them in concert & Polly Draper was there, sitting up in a high balcony, watching her sons perform & taking pics of them. Us other moms of the teens & preteens there were talking about how we used to watch 30-something & how cool it must be for her to have her kids be such teen idols.

    Me & the other moms reminiscing about 30-something & talking about our teenagers. Now, that’s old!

    Yep, once you’re 30, you immediately become 30-something.

    Of course I probably say that because I’m jealous of being 30-something since I’m WELL into being 40-something.

    I was never 30 something. I was always 31 or 36 or 30. Last year I turned 3010. This year I will be 3011.

    I was born in ’68, and since 40 is the new 30, by my math, I’m about 29.
