It’s day 7 of the power being out, yes, that’s a week tonight. I’m massively tired, we’ve been staying out late most nights so we don’t have to come home to a cold dark house early but then I end up falling asleep so late :yawn:

I wish I had stuff to talk about but I don’t, nothing interesting at least. Maybe I’m just too overloaded with thoughts of fixing the house and the car. Maybe I’m just a little too damn bitter because all of yall have oodles of power, heat and cable. Maybe I am just hoping a little bit that one of you loses a leg or something. Maybe.

The second storm coming I fear may be my demise, I’m already on the verge of cracking from the last storm. I’m thinking those living in New England should be excused from work for about 3 months so we can hibernate.

I really have nothing else to say, I’m gonna go out now and cut all of your power lines :evil:

    Aw, Robin, that so much suck. I’m really sorry. I wish there was something I could do. If you come over I’ll run you a hot bath and make you some hot chocolate (by which I mean I’ll pour you a mug of rum while looking at a package of hot chocolate mix).

    You are welcome at my house in the Frozen Tundra. It’s super cold, but we have power…

    (that is until you cut it.)

    OMG. An entire week without power? I guess there’s something to be said about radiator heat — if it worked properly, that is. (Will avoid that rant here.)

    I’d offer you guys a place to stay. We’d even sleep on the futon and let you have our bed so you can shut the door to keep the kitties out. We’ve got excellent public transportation, cable, wireless, power. The heat’s iffy, but there is heat.

    Oh, but we’re supposed to get like, a foot of snow here tonight, so by the time you could get a flight out, your power’ll probably be fixed. At least I hope it is. :martini:

    Ahhh, so YOU’RE the one that is sending the winter storm warning our way for tonight and tomorrow, a foot of snow followed by 1/2″ of ice??? I should have known.

    You are truly, truly evil. But…since I happen to love snow and being snowed in (well, at least in my own home or in a hotel), I’ll let you slide on this one. :-)
