I am a tad obsessed with ruined buildings from old castles to ruined warehouses, anything I can get inside and take crazy pictures of. It’s better if it’s untouched, the ones that are turned into an exhibit loose the appeal.
What I started to wonder about the other day was: why are all the haunted places always old prisons and mental institutions? Are McDonalds and Walmarts ever haunted? Granted they aren’t as old as most prisons but then people have still died at these places, is it that everyone is just too embarrassed to haunt an Arby’s?
I figure if I died in a Target (which is a possibility with all the time I spend there) it wouldn’t be all that glamorous to try to freak out the customers, I’d just rather do that while I’m alive. Then again, it would be more comfortable since it has heating and bedding. Do ghosts need bedding? Does everyone get to haunt the place they died or is it only those who were killed?
Apparently this question is a lot more complicated than I had imagined. I will have to research this more.
