Dear MIL:

I know you have your own way of doing things but at this point they aren’t really getting you anywhere so I’m speaking up.

At first the magazine subscription to Real Simple was very nice, I enjoyed it.  Although the subscription to Better Homes and Women’s Day (double of each btw by accident) are now just piling up.  I get the hint, I’m not much of a housewife but I have a nice rack and that seems to be enough for him.

Stop referring to your couple of horses and a donkey as your farm, it’s a petting zoo with no visitors.

Saving every single thing you have ever gotten is not collecting, it’s hording.  Come to think of it, I may have to tell this to your son too.  Oh and all those “heirlooms” you insist on holding onto will be going to the Salvation Army when you are gone.

    Thank god my MIL lives 3000 miles away, I don’t hear from her all that much. Fortunately, she’s great and is determined to not be psycho.

    That and stop calling us on every phone when we don’t answer the house phone or I am going to have all of our numbers changed! Call leave a message and if we want to or we think that your call is important enough for a return call (not just to tell you the score of the Red Sox game):rolleyes: We will call you back.

    @Cheri – Yeah just wait and see, most women are never so lucky as to not get a difficult MIL.

    @crystal – Mine lives in Florida and still drives us crazy :banghead:

    @Gemini – Oh that’s the worst. Once I changed the voicemail on my cell phone to say that if anyone was trying to reach anyone other than me that this wasn’t the place to leave the message. I hate overuse of voicemails because it’s a PITA to check the messages only to hear the same damn thing on every one. If we don’t respond to the first message you left then just maybe we didn’t want to.
