Poor Itchy Me

I have a closeup picture of this and I took one of the part in my shoulder area but it’s so completely disgusting I don’t think I can subject anyone to it. Other than Manly Man whom I make look at it all the time “look hon, it’s sooooooooo gross.”

Haven’t picked it up yet, had to transfer it to another place, I hope they don’t fuck it up.

What worked well for me personally, both for healing and “safe” scratching was running bath water on it. And then making it just a liiiiittle hotter.

then just a liiiiiiitle hotter. Oooh, that kind of burns but ooohhhhhhhhhhhhh yessssssss it scratches it.

then about 20 seconds later, a liiiiiiiiitle hotter. OUCH, but man, that’s some good scratchin’. AHHHHHHHHH THAT FEELS GOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Then the skin gets a little used to it, so you nudge it a little hotter again. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! THIS IS SO GOOD! YES! OMG!

Repeat until you literally can’t take it.

Benefit #1: it scratches the itch for you, so you don’t have to break the skin, digging at it like crazy.

Benefit #2: it makes it not itchy for a few hours, especially if you put some cortizone or caladryl or calamine lotion right after. I made it a nightly routine.

Yeah I have been using the shower to do that too and I usually have it pretty hot anyway. I need to pick up more topical medication, we don’t have much hydrocortisone left and it is just not enough. I’m kind of scared of my poison ivy right now, it looks like the result of acid or something.

I hope the meds get rid of the itch quickly!
