Bagging It

I wouldn’t call myself overly environmentally conscious but I try to do what I can to be less wasteful and it can’t hurt if you save money in the process. I’d thought for a while about getting reusable grocery bags but I thought they were really expensive at the supermarket itself. Of course, I went onto Amazon to find a better deal and I did.

I got these bags and they’ve been great. We ended up buying 10 bags total so I keep 5 bags in my car and the hubby keeps 5 in his. At our supermarket they take 5 cents off your order for every bag you use. It’s not a lot but it’s something and I don’t have to keep getting rid of those plastic bags anymore!

How much do they sell them for at the stores? At ours, they are only 99 cents.

I love my reusable bags and bins! We use the bins for the groceries and bags every where else. I cannot stand having all those crummy plastic bags in the house!

Sigh. I know. I should buy those things. I should also take advantage of the gas discounts from using my grocery card thingy.

We’ve got bags from Kroger (99 cents) a really large canvas bag from Fresh Market and a large bag (free) from our local bookstore.

    I take them everywhere–it’s awesome.

I have quite a collection. I shop at different grocery stores depending on what I need, so I have one from everywhere. Plus I forget them a lot, so I buy more.

@turnbaby – They’re only .99 cents at Kroger? Now I know I have to get some.
