Bright Shiny Morning

I haven’t done a book review in a while and I came to decide that most people just want a gist about a book, they dont’ want a long winding review. So from now on any reviews I give will be short and sweet, just like me :robin:

The Basics: Yes, it’s by James Frey and it’s also fiction. It’s about LA: the people from LA, the people that come to LA and those devoured by LA. You will never learn as much about LA as you will from this novel, which is fiction by the way. It’s about traffic jams, gangs, movie stars, immigrants, and homeless. There are so many different little stories about random people but you also follow a handful of people as you really get emersed into their lives.

The Good: It’s dark, it’s funny, it’s unromantic, it’s blunt, it’s clever, it’s poignant, it’s insane, it’s cruel, it’s thoughtful and it’s brilliant. If you happen to like audio books also, this is a fantastic reading by Ben Foster.

The Bad: Some of the ending annoyed me, some of it I loved. I may change my mind in time, we’ll see. I don’t mind not having all the answers but sometimes it’s too much not to know.
