As Gemini and I went on our photography excursion around my lake on Sunday Pilot decided he wanted to follow along. As we walked down the street he followed us. If we got too far ahead of him he’d start crying and we’d wait for him to catch up.

I started to realize he’d gotten too far away from home so I asked Manly Man to come with the car and bring him home. Just before he got there with the car a dog showed up. I was nervous Pilot would run off scared so I picked him up.

As the car came around the corner Pilot started to panic and I was the only thing in the way of him getting the hell out of there. He scratched and clawed and was going to get the fuck away no matter what he had to do.

I finally let go of him, I had no choice. I was left with my shirt full of holes and this big gash on my arm. Pilot was gone.

I worried (as all furmommies do) that Pilot would not find his way home. Luckily around 7pm that night he showed up at the door, all wet and hungry. I’m proud he found his way home and the scratch, eh, it’s a fur wound.

Oh and check out only a few of the shots I got that day…it was quite the lucky day as far as shots go.
