A Lot of Thinking to Do Today

I didn’t realize today was the day to vote, I need to start catching the news somewhere, this is ridiculous. I still don’t know who I am voting for, do you?

Edited to add: Maybe this can help, it can’t hurt right? Select 2008

All done voting – did it on my way into work this morning 😀

I usually like to wait until after work, bring the kids with, let them experience democracy in action… But, they’re predicting 3 to 10 inches of snow starting at 6pm, tonight (on top of the 6 inches we’ve already got), so I decided to get it done now.

There was this looney ‘Protect Marriage Illinois’ guy outside of the polling place this morning who’s got me all worked up. I believe that he wasn’t, technically, violating any electioneering laws. From Google-Maps, it looks like he was more than 100 feet from the actual room where polling was happening. But, you *have to* pass him to get from the parking lot to the polling place – especially with all of the snow. And, while we weren’t voting on any marriage referendums today, he was calling out to people passing, asking them to vote for his conservative republican ‘marriage is only between a man and a woman’ candidate. Bleah!

Jim was thinking he should go out there with another guy & the two of them stand there, holding hands & agreeing with the guy – “Yeah! Vote for our friend, Chris Lauzen! We’re all planning a gay orgy victory party with him later tonight, if he wins! Woo-hoo!” 😉
