The Fifth Member of Our Family

So you’ve met Erik, Aurora, Pilot and even the occasional appearance of Jusy when she feels like it but you have yet to meet Leoster. Leoster the gnome.

You might be surprised to know that Leoster has been a part of our family almost from the beginning from every apartment and now lives out in our backyard by our campfire pit. You can tell he’s found a peace he’s never known before, he’s had a very difficult life.

Leoster began his years in a sheep farm in Ireland where he was very happy but when the family moved to America he moved as well. By a small accident with a U-Haul truck when moving to their house in Omaha he was left on the side of the road abandoned. He hoped his family would come back for him but alas, they never did.

He was left on the side of the road for months and had an array of trash thrown at him by passing cars until one day a car stopped and a small child asked if Leoster could join their family. That’s when he headed to New England and took up residence in a small town in Massachusetts.

His life with this family was nice until the young got older and grew bored with him. Instead of living in the backyard he ended up next to the garage. He became depressed thinking that he would never be loved again. That was until a dashing young man (well relatively young) swiftly picked him up in his arms and drove away with him in his car.

He thought he found the perfect new home with this man and his girlfriend until he gave him away to an old neighbor who he immediately knew didn’t care about him. Luckily again the youngish man came along and stole Leoster back, bringing him back to the family…where he’s been ever since.

He’s traveled with the family to every apartment and now lives peacefully in the backyard. He couldn’t ask for anything more…except for maybe a paint job.

I like to think of myself as a member of your family. In fact, once you guys are married, perhaps you could look into adopting me?

your story reminds me of Toy Story 2, when the cowgirl got forgotten and left under the bed.

I was going to say he looks like he needs a paint job. *L*
