I’m An Open Blog

I was interviewed by the lovely and charismatic Angel:

1. If you could choose any career, other than the one that you currently
have, and be paid the salary of your choice, what career would you choose,
and why?

Blogger. Seriously. I’d get paid to blog. Actually I’d be really really happy to have an entertainment blog, not a gossip blog but a review blog and get paid to do that. I’d live in my pajamas and never leave the house.

2. When and why did you start blogging?

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember and have had a written journal almost just as long. I think I started casually blogging about 4 or 5 years ago but not remotely in the way I do now, it was more of a journal. I was more into the forum thing then but I really don’t do that now, I like blogging much better as I feel I can express myself better.

3. You give brilliant book and movie reviews. What got you started doing

I know more about movies than anyone else and I tend to feel the need to express this to as many people as possible. At a young age I started to tell people what they should or shouldn’t see and most of the time I was right, whether they liked it or not. In college I became the A&E editor of the newspaper and realized that was what I was meant to do. I try to use my talent for good and not for evil.

On a side note my grandfather was a writer, an amazing writer and he even wrote a play. I’m thinking of digging out his play and updating it. Maybe making it more modern. It’s called “Take My Wife.”

4.What is something that few people know about you, but that you would like more people to know?

I guess what maybe few people know is that there is really little anyone doesn’t know about me because I really do lay it out there. I have always been an open book and am that way in real life too. I wear my heart on my sleeve and am always getting hurt but I don’t know any other way to be. I think that is what tends to make me a better writer, because I don’t hold back. I don’t really know how to hold back. I can honestly say that Erik actually knows everything about me or at least 99.9%.

5. What have you found to be the most exciting part to plan in your wedding?

That’s a good question, the whole planning of it is fascinating to me. The fact that this big day is about Erik and I still blows me away. Nothing has really been about me since my Bat Mitzvah and it’s hard to comprehend.

It’s funny because all the stuff I’m excited to plan is either months away or not something that I do. Like the bachelorette party, I can help plan it but my friends are really supposed to put it together. I’m also excited to put together the music for the wedding but that’s still really far away and the photography but most of that is also far away. I’m excited to do the details but those are towards the end.

The fun stuff isn’t right now. I really do have to figure out the cake thing and I don’t want to. I’m dreading the cake part the most.

If you haven’t rated my brother’s youtube video yet pretty please go over and give it a rating

So you would pick paid blogger or reviewer even over being Kevin Spacey’s assistant?

Oh Ro Ro, I thought I knew you… :mrfab:

Mr. Fab – Well here’s the honest truth because I’ve thought this through. If I were Kevin’s assistant full-time I’d be traveling 24/7. This means I’d probably have to abandon Erik, which despite how I profess my love for Kevin I would not do. Also, I could not travel that much because I like to be home too much. So here is what I propose. Fall through Spring I work out of my home as an entertainment blogger filling in everyone on movies, television and books that they need to be aware of. During the summer I will be Kevin’s 24/7 assistant and do a Kevin blog as I travel along with him. How’s that sound?

Avi – I may not know more trivia than anyone else but I have better taste than anyone else

Those are excellent answers!! I can tell you that if you revived your grandfather’s play, I would definitely go see it. I love your writing style.
