A Masshole Driving Meme

I got this idea from The Mutt Princess. Here are my psycho weird driving habits or tidbits. Keep in mind, I’m born and raised in Massachusetts.

  1. If someone comes up behind me going faster than me in the left lane I will let them by, it’s a courtesy thing I learned from an ex.
  2. If someone pisses me off I don’t usually give them the finger, I give them a thumbs up
  3. I almost always eat my breakfast on the way to work in my car.
  4. I do anything I can get away with while driving, alone of course.
  5. I get really really pissed off when people leave their blinker on by accident.
  6. I never slow down to look at an accident, out of respect. That’s the only time I ever have any respect for strangers.
  7. Most days I’m usually either listening to an audio book or KISS 108. I love the banter of Matty in the Morning; he’s not like the typical radio DJ and he amuses me.
  8. I do most of my phone calls via my cell phone on my way home from work, I hate talking to anyone once I get home.
  9. I hate letting anyone cut ahead of me, especially idiots who are racing to get ahead of everyone. It’s like Kindergarten I swear.
  10. I hate tailgaters and I never do it. If I’m in the car when someone else is doing it I will yell at them.
  11. I never understood why I’ve had more speeding tickets than anyone I know and they all drive like mental patients that just recently escaped from the looney bin.
  12. I passed my driving test on the first try although my mom disagreed from the back seat. Listen, I swerved not to hit a lunatic who came barreling out of the driveway…that’s good driving!
  13. I had my most severe anxiety attack while driving and a friend (via cell phone) had to calm me down so I could get off the highway.
  14. The worst highway I’ve ever been on so far is the Mass Pike, the toll booths are what push it over the edge.
  15. I still hate Route 2 the most though, it blows chunks.
  16. I am ALWAYS getting lost and often crying because of it. I once ended up in RI when I was trying to get to the Cape.
  17. I hate everyone’s driving other than my own and it makes me really anxious.

    1. Hmmm. Courtesy while driving, I wish more people did that.
    2. I should try that. My middle finger is tired anyways.
    3. If I am running late I do.
    4. Heh, me too.
    5. That annoys me too!!!
    6. I do not on purpose, but well, if traffic is COMPLETELY stopped I look.
    7. cool.
    8. Me too. I hate talking on the phone when I am unwinding.
    9. Ug, I know what you mean.
    10. Very unsafe
    11. I drive safer as I age… Or rather slower.
    12. I passed the first time too–even though the guy told me he did NOT want to pass me–I had enough “points” though. heh.
    13. Thank god for cell phones!!
    14. I will steer clear.
    15. Never heard of it.
    16. ooops.
    17. If we ever ride in a car together I will have you drive. LOL

I also hate driving with people I don’t know really well in the car, I get paranoid that I’ll get pulled over or have an accident. I say we just take a limo together.

I do plan on taking an East Coast vacation in the next couple of years. I have never been anywhere other than DC, Baltimore and Va. So I am due. If I ever move I am thinking of moving to Maine. Just cuz.

You need one of those navigation systems that talks to you. Might ease a little of the driving anxiety, and the female voice is very soothing as well.
