My Pimping Days Are Over

I turned into a pimp without realizing it by starting the Comment Contest I guess.  It wasn’t intentional because I really don’t care how many comments I get but I enjoy feedback.  I mean, that’s really the fun part about blogging…having people have an opinion about something you posted :dunno:

So this is the last month for the Comment Contest because I guess it didn’t have the intended reaction.  It was fun for me though because I loved writing up the posts every month about the person who won.

I may be a whore in other ways but I am not a comment whore :robin:

On a similar note I love all of you who stop by to offer your thoughts on a daily basis and even those of you who just read.  I would do this blog even if nobody read it because I love to write, it’s my outlet.  I enjoy reading all of your blogs and I do have a lot of fun joining in on your discussions when I can.

I’m so strung out at work this week, it’s so insane here.  I hate adjusting to a schedule I’m not used to.

I love coming to your blog, and it isnt to win a contest. LOL

I am still going to keep commenting, until you block me and ban me.

The LAPD, the FBI, and the CIA are all trying to prove that they are the best at apprehending criminals. The President decides to give them a test. He releases a rabbit into a forest and each of them has to catch it.

The CIA goes in. They place animal informants throughout the forest. They question all plant and mineral witnesses. After three months of extensive investigations they conclude that rabbits do not exist.

The FBI goes in. After two weeks with no leads they burn the forest, killing everything in it, including the rabbit, and they make no apologies. The rabbit had it coming.

The LAPD goes in. They come out two hours later with a badly beaten bear. The bear is yelling: “Okay! Okay! I’m a rabbit! I’m a rabbit!”

I think there was once or twice where i thought i was going to win but nope…i wish my blog could generate users who comment like your readers do. I have the traffic, i get about 5000 uniques a month and out of 5000 visitors i only get about 5 people who leave comments…

when i need a pimp i’ll hire you to be mine lol 😉 i’ll even ask ya to bitch slap me with your pimp hand hahah

If you enjoy writing a monthly post about another blogger, chose one blogger a month and just write a post about that person, without the comment contest, or create some other kind of contest (caption this picture, name the boobies) in which the winner gets a post. 🙂

In what way did it not have the intended reaction?

    MM – Ok :lmao:

    Heather B – I’m $200 an hour :robin:

Angel – Maybe, I’ll have to think about it.

Avi – People just seemed to be posting to try to get the most posts and once they did they dropped away. It’s just not the way I wanted it to be. I hoped it would just be that if someone won they won or it might be an incentive for someone to comment a little more and get into the posts. Poor Fab was so frustrated just barely losing every month.

I don’t think that’s the case, except when you initially did it. It’s seemed quite natural. I had a few months where I was commenting a lot because you posted about things I had an interest in and replied in a way that made me reply. Then I got busy and wasn’t able to be involved. And that’s just me. I think it’s actually a cool idea, and I think you should keep it up.

The alternative would be to pick someone who comments frequently each month and write about them – then it’s not tied to how much they comment.

Not a bad idea, when did you start thinking and stuff? :dunce:
