Am I Just Sensitive

Or does it bum anyone else out when looking at who visits your blog and noticing several of them never comment. I guess I’ll have to try to be more interesting 😉

Edited to add: This is to regular visitors.

Maybe they just don’t have anything interesting to add.

I have the same thing. I discount the people that get their via searches. (which are pretty hilarious)

But I have at least 20 EVERYDAY that are not accounted for. And I suppose that is ok, it means I have almost successfully started a cult.

I have nothing interesting to add, but I’ll comment anyway if it will make you feel better. 😀

You shouldn’t expect comments from drive-byers like from BE or BM, and you shouldn’t rate yourself on the number of comments you get.

It really boils down to the difference between men and women. Men have roughly 1,000 words they are going to say a day and women have around 10,000, so your more likely to get a substantial comment from a fellow woman but not all women are going to necessarily comment on a topic unless they themselves can identify with it, whether its interesting or not.

In the end, comments really don’t define a post or a blog. The blogger is the definer.

Wow. I only have like 750 words left for today. I better shuddup now.

    TMP – I’d love to start a cult 👿

y not i – Thanks for visiting anyway

Watchdog – That’s not it, I don’t really care about how many comments I get. It’s just kind of a bummer to see people that used to visit and comment a lot just stop by briefly and then just leave. It’s not a big deal, people are busy. I just enjoy hearing people’s thoughts and opinions.

It’s really all Joe’s fault because he made that plugin where you can see everyone who visits.

You’re just sensitive. Also you pimp for comments so you’re getting plenty.

How do I pimp for comments? I don’t care about comments I’m just looking for interaction.

Maybe they just don’t think that *they* have anything interesting to say that would add to your already interesting posts and conversations 😀

    JoeFish made a plugin?

Does that include feedreaders? Because then you might really get all depressed and stuff.

    Maureen – Maybe :dunno:

Watchdog – Yep, it’s called WordPress Tracker but I don’t know where to find it :dunno: No, it does not include feedreaders.

TMP – The more the merrier!

Uh, yeah. You can’t find that plugin because it’s not for public release.

Mostly, I’m a reader. I know you see me around, lurkity lurk lurk and all that, and you know once in a while I’ll have something interesting or thoughtful to add. Honestly? I’m a horrible conversationalist. I’ve never been good at the back & forth thing, see, but I do like to know stuff. You like to tell stuff, I like to know stuff, so it’s really mutually beneficial, you just don’t realize it.

Joefish – Well, there ya go.

    TMP – :martini:

Leanne – You visit and comment pretty often. You are all good

Guilty. I don’t comment as much as I’d like to on blogs. But it does frustrate me when I have regular readers who don’t comment.

I cannot see who comes to my blog…I don’t have Joe’s plug-in and I am not sure where to get it or how to install it, but I’d like to have it. I do see my stats, however, and I see how many people visit, versus the amount of comments. I get frustrated with it too.

By the way, I was here either earlier today or late last night and I tried to comment, and it kept giving me some sort of pop-up message about the server being busy. i tried four or five times to submit the same comment, and then I left.

Your blog was mean to me again last night, so I am back this morning to make sure that my comments were not eaten. I am not stalking you.

My blog has been cranky, I’m sorry.

It’s alright, I just don’t want you to get frustrated when you see me come here and not comment, because I absolutely :heartbeat: you blog and you…but sometimes it will not allow me to comment.

Of course, I understand. It’s maddening on my end :banghead:

The main reason I don’t comment is is because I don’t want to be a “piggyback blogger”, saying blah blah blah to all of Robins loyal readers. I could speak my mind on my own blog… but I can’t type… She is the queen after all!
