Slip and Slide

  • I enjoyed a great bagel last night, one side plain cream cheese and the other side was veggie.  It was delightful.  I may be in debt to Mr. Fab forever, he’s stolen my heart :heartbeat:
  • Diamonds are not my best friend, dough is.
  • Not dough as in money, dough as in pizza, pasteries and bagels πŸ˜‰
  • We had our first plumber visit yesterday to redo all the stuff that was fucked up by the previous owner.
  • He told us how much it would cost to redo our bathroom and kitchen, now if I can just find about $30,000 we’ll be ready to go
  • We now have a sprinkler (didn’t have a hose before) and I’m thinking I haven’t run through the sprinkler screaming at the top of my lungs in a long time.
  • Anyone want to come over for slip and slide??
  • I have vodka.
  • I’m planning a party for this weekend, not a real party but just a GTG but I’m already stressing about it.  Why can’t I chill?
  • I’ve made another decision for the wedding and that decision is Chucks (converse sneakers) for the groomsmen.  I’m wild, I know

Slip and Slide is not nearly as fun as an adult as it is when you’re a kid. You’re a lot further from the ground, and that ground is bumpy and hard.

    And you know from experience?

Well, it’s been about 10 years, because I was in college, but yes. Ouch!

You have a point but then they made it look fun on The Girls Next Door…was it the silicone that eased the ride?

That, and a manicured lawn that probably had a cushion underneath, too.

I like the sneaker idea. I was in a wedding party once where all the groomsmen wore black Keds hightops.

    Glad you liked the bagels!

Avi – That would help, we have a lot of rocks in our backyard.

Fab – Erik has like 5 pairs of chucks so I thought it would be really appropriate.

    You had me at vodka.

I do not like to rip my skin open while continually sliding further and further into pain. Nah. Leave that crap to the kids.

I do like going thru the sprinkler though. That idea has fun written all over it!

If you find an extra 30,000 let me know where so I can look and see if there is some for me. K, thanks!

Can I just sit inside in the air conditioning and drink the vodka?

TMP – Well come on over…I have bagels, vodka and we can play in the sprinklers!

Fab – Of course, once we put one in.

    You…don’t have A/C?

    TMP – :heartbeat:

Fab – Not quite. We have one but it’s really crappy. We have a really little house and I’m thinking we should just put it in the middle (livingroom) and cool the house down.

Yeah, I’m 20 years too old to fling myself at the ground like that. LOL

And I love bagels, too. Toasted. With butter. πŸ™ I so want one right now.

Vodka and a slip and slide. I’m in.

Oh and I found that the slip and slides work better as a pseudo adult when you pour some oil on them as well.

I’m finally with one room air conditioning!! (Still waiting for it to cool me down from 92 degrees to 60, but I digress)

Slip and slide sounds like a great idea, but…

Vodka and bagels… so much better!!!

You kids gotta move down here. Central air, baby! The only way to go!

We have central air here too in MN. LOL

When I had a smaller house (and older house) there was no central air. IT SUCKED!

I’d die without the AC – and I do nowadays in my freak’n Jeep that barely has cool air with the AC on. Stupid fk’n Jeep!
It hits 80 here and if you don’t have AC it’s not pretty!!

TMP – Erik doesn’t like AC.

KG – Never deny yourself some doughy pleasure.

    ADW – Messy πŸ˜‰

    Stephanie – I knew you’d get it!

Fab – I would if it weren’t for the pesky MIL there.

TMP – Gotta start somewhere, this is our first house.

Cheri – I guess it’s all in what you get used to.

Heather B – Once they create a way for me to get beamed up over there I’m there.
