Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 9:31 am Reply I never jest about Seinfeld. And don’t call me Shirley. :buff: Robin June 22, 2007 at 9:41 am Reply Seinfeld makes me want to tear out my eyelashes :banghead: I was hoping you’d catch that…you are sharper than I thought. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 9:52 am Reply I don’t understand that. In so many other ways you appear to be perfect, and yet here is this gaping character flaw :yuck: Robin June 22, 2007 at 9:55 am Reply Oh sir, it’s not a flaw…it’s a higher understanding. Avitable June 22, 2007 at 9:56 am Reply You post this, but somehow you can’t find something worthwhile to see at the theater? And Seinfeld ran circles around Friends. Sigh. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 9:57 am Reply Well, whatever it is, it has left me tremendously distressed. I hope I can still perform when I masturbate later. Robin June 22, 2007 at 9:59 am Reply Avi – What is good in the theater?? What was funny about Seinfeld? Fab – I’m sure you’ll find a way. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 10:03 am Reply Yeah, I guess I can always think about Little Ahmoo… Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:07 am Reply That’s what I do. Avitable June 22, 2007 at 10:07 am Reply Ocean’s 13 Waitress 1408 Knocked Up 28 Weeks Later Those are just a few examples of good movies in theaters this week. Seinfeld was funny because it was innovative. It wasn’t setup, joke, setup joke, and repeating things three times, which is exactly how Friends was. Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:10 am Reply Ok, you mentioned a couple good ones for movies but to go out to the theater, I’d rather see most of those at home. Maybe Knocked Up or 1408. To tell you the honest truth, Seinfeld annoyed me…really annoyed me. I just wanted to hit them all and throw them in a dumpster. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 10:11 am Reply I can personally vouch for Waitress, Knocked Up, and Oceans 13. Also, Seinfeld was about people who only cared about themselves. No messages, no happy endings, “special” episodes. Avitable June 22, 2007 at 10:13 am Reply I like the theater experience. Seinfeld was great not just for the mechanics of the show, which were brilliant comedy, but also for the fact that the characters were people who did and said what we all wished we would. Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:13 am Reply I liked having everyone really care about each other and being really involved in their lives but that’s just me. I always tend to look for shows, movies and books that are really about people involved with each other and interacting. I need to care about them. Maybe I will go see a movie this weekend, I could use a good laugh. I can understand some of the appeal of Seinfeld but mostly it annoyed me because I didn’t like them. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 10:15 am Reply That WHY I liked the Seinfeld gang. I cared about them BECAUSE they were like me, self-absorbed and self-involved. I LOVE them! Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:17 am Reply I loved Friends because I could relate to them…making stupid choices and saying stupid things…being really dumb sometimes but really caring about their friends. I wish they were my friends :heartbeat: Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 10:19 am Reply You like me and Avi, right? We would never be found on Friends, we would totally be Seinfeld characters. Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:19 am Reply Well, you guys are my dark side…like The Office. Avitable June 22, 2007 at 10:22 am Reply Seinfeld was just a darker, snarkier Office! Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:26 am Reply Maybe I’m just too soft and squishy for Seinfeld. I should like them, since they are all Jewish. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 10:29 am Reply I suppose you are not a Curb Your Enthusiasm fan then, either? Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:32 am Reply Never watched it but I doubt I’d like it. I’m not sure how to explain why I don’t like these things because I like dark humor. I guess I just have a low tolerance for annoying characters…if The Office was ALL Michael I wouldn’t be able to watch it but because of Jim, Pam and Dwight it rounds it out nicely. I need a nice mixture of humor. Avitable June 22, 2007 at 10:33 am Reply Curb your Enthusiasm is such a great show. I can watch those episodes over and over again. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 10:44 am Reply So could I. It’s fucking brilliant. Robin June 22, 2007 at 10:47 am Reply I like Family Guy  themuttprincess June 22, 2007 at 12:23 pm Reply I like both Seinfeld and Friends. Mr. Fabulous June 22, 2007 at 1:10 pm Reply Family Guy is awesome. Okay, you have partially redeemed yourself. Robin June 22, 2007 at 1:12 pm Reply TMP – You are so easy. Fab – I have good taste and you know it…I’m just really picky and get easily annoyed. Leave a Reply Cancel Current ye@r * Leave this field empty Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
