The Best Father

Fathers Day to me is taking forever to look through the card section to find a card that isn’t too sappy but not too uncaring either. I usually have to look through about 50 cards at 3 different stores to find one that works well enough. I usually don’t call him but will either mail him the card or just hand it to him when I see him.

Mostly Fathers Day now is about trying to give Erik the day off because he is a wonderful father, he could write a book on how to be a good dad. He is always giving love to the furkids and making sure they are fed. He is the one who remembers to put their collars on when they go outside and the one that makes sure they get back in when it’s dark.

They may not look like normal children but they adore him as the only father they know.  They come to him when they need love or when they want food.  Yeah, they come to me sometimes but I usually tell them to go get their food themselves and remind them of how ungrateful they are and to get a job :annoyed:

Happy Fathers Day Erik!  You are one great father and a wonderful Furdaddy!

    Another way we are alike…father’s day card shopping! I have a hard time every year to try to not give the same exact card said in a different way. I try to avoid sap at all costs, no matter the occasion. It’s just not my style.:)

    All the cards that are like “I’ve learned so much from you” and “I’m your little girl” just doesn’t suit us at all :twitchy: Same goes for picking a Father/Daughter dance :dunno:

    I didn’t send my dad a card. I thought we were getting together today, but father’s day was inconvenient for him. (ok then)

    He will get a gift and a card next time I see him. Silly man.
