The Classics

A classic is something that everybody wants to have read and nobody wants to read.– Mark Twain

That is very true about the youth today. I give my son the classics and have him read them, and you know what? He liked them. Funny how that works, he did NOT wanna read any… (Mark Twain included) and now he brags that he has read ’em. Sigh

I had to read a bunch of classics in high school. Hated every single one of them. Dry, boring and completely irrelevant to my life. None of them are even happy endings. Why are classics always depressing??

Well yanno… no, I aint gonna ask what you were doing in the hotel room all those days.

One of my faves was The Outsiders… ponyboy curtis and cherry with the madrass jacket. You just knew he wanted to do her. Too bad she was from the wrong side of the tracks.

What did you think the sticky liquid on her hands was? Apricot jelly?
