Chock Full of Reviews

I’m too lazy to do a separate review for each of these so I’m doing short reviews all in one post. It’s not that these don’t deserve their own post, I just don’t feel like it.

October Road

Great show! Or ok maybe I’m biased because Bryan Greenberg is in my top 5 of celebrity men, he’s my one Jewish guy on the list. The show, IMO, has a lot of feeling and depth…more than most shows like this out there. It’s about a guy who left everyone important to him to become a writer in NY and when he returns 10 years later they aren’t very happy. In particular, his girlfriend has a 10 year old son and wonders if he is his. October is on right after Grey’s Anatomy so it isn’t hard to miss.

The Holiday

You know I’m not a big fan of Cameron Diaz (but I don’t hate her either) but I loooooove Jack Black, Jude Law and Kate Winslet. It’s a cute “Bridget Jones” type movie but to me it seemed to have a little more substance to really get into. I also learned from the great Erik that any woman who thinks Jude Law is sexy cannot be a lesbian so apparently he’s in the clear with me :dunno:

This was a great film but particularly for me because I love true crime stories. I was impressed with how they really pulled off the seventies era or at least it appears they did since I never really experienced the the seventies. David Fincher (also did Se7en) just has a style I love. Jake also did quite a fine job, quite fine 😉

I am going to try to see Zodiac while it is out. And as big a fan of Jack Black as I am, I just can’t watch The Holiday. I can’t. I won’t.

Heather B – Let me know what you think.

Mr. Fab – I understand, you probably cry a lot during chick flicks 🙁

Oh crap, I wanted to catch October Road and see it it was. I hate missing the pilot shows. Crap. I missed the pilot of The Wedding Bells too. I watched episode 2 and rather liked it, but was a little lost as to how everyone relates to each other.

Thanks Gemini. Did the photographer and the leader of the sisters (I don’t know anyone’s names yet) have a “thing” together? How did he get hired?

I like October Road too, the reason why I ended up catching it was I was watching whatever show was on prior to that coming on and I was too lazy to find the remote or something lol

Haven’t seen Zodiac yet but it’s on the must-see list.

I saw The Holiday and it was okay…chick flicks aren’t my fortee but I must’ve ran out of everything else to watch.

I got a chance to watch The Holiday over the weekend… LOVED IT! I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. And this is the first role I’ve ever seen Jude Law in that was not a womanizer (you know, like he is in real life).

Blue – I may be one of the few who watched October for Bryan Greenberg.

GDG – I was really surprised as well.
