Chores and the Little Gold Man

I’m feeling better although typing again will probably only hurt my arm again but whatever.  I have things to say and it’ll take a lot more than carpal tunnel to stop me.

So much work to fit into one Sunday and I also need to set aside ample time to watch crap television.  I hate falling behind on dishes/laundry and feeling like you just can’t catch up.  I will though…I will!  Or we could just throw everything out and make a registry to get all new stuff.

Anyone watching the Oscars tonight?  I don’t think I will except for some pieces since I think Ellen will be a really good host.  You all know about my issues with The Academy right?  Well, I suppose I can tell you again.

I’m still angry that Leonardo DiCaprio (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) lost to Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive).  I don’t know, that’s just abominable in my book but then I’m a movie snob.  What exactly did Mr. Jones do in that movie other than chase around Harrison Ford.

I’m even more angry that the great Edward Norton (Primal Fear) to Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry Maguire) and I will never forgive The Academy for that.  I still want someone to explain how that is justified!  I want to hug Edward for the unjustice he received.

At least Kevin Spacey has never lost and if he ever does there may be hell to pay :whosnext:

So if you need me…I’ll be doing house work feeling a little bitter and finding some crappy television to watch.

    Wow…you really hold a grudge.

I would do well to remember that.

“Leonardo DiCaprio (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) lost to Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive).”

Maybe its because he vowed to “search every whorehouse, doghouse, and outhouse”…what did Gilbert do beside climb water towers?

Our fugitive has been on the run for 90 minutes. Given an average foot speed of four miles an hour over uneven terrain, that gives us a search radius of six miles. Now what I need out of every one of you is a hard target search of every residence, gas station, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area!
