• Why do they show Red Lobster commercials all the time where I live when the closest one is Connecticut?
  • Why is it the other lane in traffic is always going faster than yours and if you move over to the faster one that one slows down and the other one speeds up?
  • Why do you always run into an ex when you haven’t showered in 2 days and are wearing sweatpants with holes in it?
  • Why do most of us bloggers talk about our significant others but they rarely comment on our blogs?
  • Why must people always say “how are you doing?” in passing when they really aren’t looking for an answer? Why not just say hi with a :cheesy: ? I rarely have enough chance to say “fine, how are you?” and they are long gone…it’s annoying :twitchy:
  • Why is it when I find out a guy is gay he’s suddenly much more attractive?

Oh, lord, the ex one NEVER FAILS. I always want to be gorgeous and surrounded by incredibly cool people. But I am inevitably schlepping around, carrying something heavy, with my hair up.

The traffic thing… it’s caused by your thoughts! It’s true! I’ll get in that lane and speed along! Nope! Then it slows down. It’s like when you’re running late and then you catch every. single. frickin. red. light. It’s just the way the world works.

Sarah – I still remember in college when I hadn’t seen the dreaded ex in ages and I ran into him when I was running late to a class in my pjs and without showering. Never fails.

Tara – Yeah, it’s all Murphy’s Laws but they just drive me nuts sometimes :twitchy:

My significant other posts on my blog, but it’s usually to insult me. He says at least it shows him taking an interest. I’m not so sure!!

OMG – I feel the same way about Sonic Restaurants as you do about Red Lobster! I’ve thought that a good ad campaign for Sonic would be if I got the city council to pass an ordinance saying that it was illegal for them to advertise here, if there isn’t a restaurant within 20 miles. Then, the company could make a big deal about opening a franchise near us, in order to conform to the ‘law’. They could start encouraging other grassroots campaigns in other communities, to do the same (making it look, of course, like the people started up those campaigns on their own volition).

I should try pitching the idea to them some day. They can have it for free, as long as they let me get some of that yummy looking food from their commercials 😀

re: SO’s commenting… My DH doesn’t comment on any of the blogs that he visits, I don’t think. And, I also think that he thinks of my blog as a kind of ‘diary’ & doesn’t want to be seen to be reading it (although, we both know that he does & I’m OK with that).

Chris – I know Erik reads it sometimes but I wish he’d throw in a comment once and a while. Maybe I’ll nag him about it :poke:

Maureen – I’m with you on that law…we could start petitions :peace:

The gay comment totally relates to my post, but I didnt expand upon it. Chances are if he’s prettier than you, then it’s sad, but true.:(

The relation to our posts was a coincidence but cool.

LOL, about Red Lobster….. We have some in our state, but not nearby…. same goes with other chain restaurants like Olive Garden. We live in a ‘dry’ county, so any restaurants that serve liquor don’t reside here.
We have to drive to the next county over to buy a bottle of wine or a case of beer! :martini:

KC – I’d go nuts…we love having beer in the house. Being right next to NH is also sweet because liquor stores are open on Sundays and there is alcohol in a supermarket near us.

My SO comments on my blog, but only every once in a while. It’s nice. :heartbeat:

As to the last question, probably because now you know you can’t have him! :cheesy: I think it’s natural to want what you can’t have. Um, right?
