The Search Is On
So I’m looking for a job again although it’s nice not having the pressure of not having a job. I’ve looked for many jobs in the eight years I’ve been in the job world and I consider myself somewhat of a professional job seeker by now.
What I’m a little confused about is why most jobs are listed by employment agencies. I’ve worked through those before and I will not go that direction again. It’s one thing if I want a temp thing but this is something permanent.
I remember working through employment agencies before and they were such a ridiculous hassle. You had to fill out stupid time sheets every single week and get them signed by your boss at the place of employment. The health insurance they offered is over the top expensive and not even worth it. On top of that the agency takes part of your commission for doing very little.
I just know that I don’t want to be a receptionist at all and I am not making :coffee: for anyone. I also know I will not work for a law office, I did that once and it was pure hell on earth. I have a lot of experience and want to have a job that is at the level of that.
If anyone has a good suggestion of a good place to look for jobs online I’d love the help. I’ve tried Monster, Bostonworks and a bit of Careerbuilder so far. Must they make the process so complicated :pissed:
