Losers With Money

Have you seen the movie Friends With Money? I watched it and was basically annoyed through the whole thing. What is with Jennifer Aniston that she feels this need to play pathetic characters. I mean, it worked in The Good Girl but in this movie you just really wanted to slap her.

First off her character has these friends who all talk down to her because they have money and she doesn’t (oh and she’s a maid). They keep asking her why she’s a maid, like she’s chosen to live in the gutter or something.

I didn’t like any of the characters and I tend to find that an important part of me watching something for an hour and a half. I think Jennifer’s character dating her friend’s personal trainer was possibly the most frustrating part of the movie. The guy was a complete prick and deserved to be punched more than a few times.

I wouldn’t bother with this movie, not only is it annoying it’s also mostly boring.

Rating: That’s all you get, sorry.

Thank you! I’d seen so many rave reviews about this movie, that I just had to see it, and it bothered me the whole way through, too! There were so many inconsistencies, like if she was so bothered by working with students who had money, why did she keep her rich friends? And doesn’t she realize that most of the schools in her area are not only *not* like the one where she taught, but are also desperate for teachers? If she hated teaching, fine. 50% of all teachers leave the profession within 5 years of starting, so she’s hardly a statistical anomoly. But, seriously. What kind of reason did she give?

And the ending was so abrupt! I know that sometimes movies are *too* tied up, but come on! I thought my DVD had skipped.

You make very good points, whoever wrote the screenplay was not thinking it over much.

I havent seen it, but I wanted to see it. But all signs keep pointing to not seeing it. It’s just one of those things that morbid curiosity will have me do anyway. As for Aniston, maybe the character, like the apple, doesnt fall far from the tree?

I thought the same thing! I kept waiting and waiting for something interesting to happen, but it just kept right on sucking, right up to the end. BOOOOORING!
