New Season Part 1

It’s time for the fall television season and it’s already looking good :thumbsup:Nip Tuck

Nip/Tuck – I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch this again but I was intrigued so I gave it a shot. It’s pretty good so far, definitely less creepy than last season, which was why I wasn’t sure I’d watch it anymore. Last season just went to a really dark place, possibly even too dark for me. This season we have Christian questioning his sexuality, a baby to be born deformed, Matt getting into Scientology and a new owner of Christian and Sean’s practice that could potentially be problematic.

Standoff – Ok, so I only checked this show out because of Ron Livingston (same reStandoffason I checked out “The Unit” with Scott Foley) but the show did keep my attention. I like the chemistry between Livingston and DeWitt and so far the plotlines have been really good. The first episode was an angry son of a politician trying to get his parent’s attention and the last episode was a guy taking hostage at the place where the guys direct plane traffic. I’m still not 100% sure about this show but for now it’s pretty good.

Til’ Death – I had a feeling this show would be a good one since the concept is something I can’t believe nobody has thought of before. Having the contrast of a newlywed couple and an old married couple is easily funny. I have a good feeling about this one.Two and a Half Men

2 ½ Men – The season has already started off with a bang but at the same time it’s almost too depressing to see Alan constantly having women walk all over him. His first wife left him and demands her allamony and childsupport no matter what dire straights Alan is in and his most recent wife spent the ½ a million dollars he won in Las Vegas only to leave him as well. It’s a good thing this show somehow makes it work and makes it really funny.

How I Met Your Mother – It’s back and it’s better than ever. I wasn’t sure how it would work with Ted and Robin together but it’s smart and it’s genuine. Marshall and Libby broke up and I think it was a good twist for the characters but we all know they’lHow I Met Your Motherl be together in the end. I must say, I missed Barney most of all, in fact there was a line I wanted to write down and forgot to.

The Class – I don’t think I’m feeling this one. I like some of the characters but not all of them. I’m not sure if it’s the actors they chose or the fact there are so many characters to try to follow. I like the depressed guy and the weird girl he hit with his car but I’m not sure I care much about any of the others.

The New Old Christine – Is that the name of it? I’m too lazy to look it up so sue me. I’ve grown to really like this show, a lot. I never liked Seinfeld so Julia Lewis Dreifus is completely new territory for me and I think she’s fantastic. She has this comedic timing that nobody could pull off like she does. The new season looks good!

OK Here’s my take on her… She was an “in between meal snack” of comedy on SF (which I watched way too much of), but she really plays up the tenative person in all of us in a sadly clueless character. I like it for it’s freshness- hard to do in 2006…
