Troubled Teen

Our neighbors love to gossip and we’ve learned a lot very quickly. One thing we’ve heard a lot of information on is the teenage boy that lives across the street. I believe he only lives with his mother and I don’t know what happened with the father.

The neighbors don’t particularly like this kid and for good reason. The house behind us were apparently robbed by him and he took a lot of expensive things. I don’t know how it was resolved but immediately that makes me nervous.
The kid also loves driving around in a ATV around the cul-de-sac and it’s really noisy; this we’ve seen. Not much anyone can do about that but it’s just pretty asinine; why not, oh, drive with it further than in circles? :dunno:

We had also heard initially from the kid’s mother that the previous owner of our house took the kid to court but she never said for what. The mother did say that the previous owner’s boyfriend attempted to beat the kid up, obviously we were in shock.

Then we found out that the kid had poured oil or something all over the previous owner’s deck and had to completely replace them (lucky for us we have beautiful new decks). Erik and I both agree if the kid ever did anything like that to our house we’d be awfully pissed

It seems to me the mother doesn’t know how to control her son and everyone else has to pay for it. Although the neighbors also heard cars often randomly stop by the house all the time, honk and then leave soon after. Something about drugs was implied. It’s sad to have something like this in such a rural and quiet neighborhood.

I would say it is good to know that information, so that you can be prepared if need be. Keep a camera handy, be able to document anything, and press charges if anything happens.

Hmm I’d be a bit wary about all that. Definitely keep a camera handy as Krayzee said, wish I had had one a couple of times when stuff went down outside my own place.
