God’s Will

I’m listening to the audio version of this book and I must tell you something that scares me to my very core.  What truly terrifies me is how people of some feel rape and murder is ok as long as it’s “God’s will”

So if I wanted to go out today and commit some unspeakable act it would be ok if I felt the lord or Jesus or whomever told me to?

I’m only a couple chapters into this book but if all this is true I’m pretty disgusted to say the least.

Why does it seem so many people use religion as a means of controlling others and getting away with things they otherwise would never get away with?

I could really go on and on about religion, but I won’t. I’ll just say that I agree with you. People do seem to use it as an excuse. I’m a spiritual person, but I don’t buy into the conventional religions.

Happens all the time. I think it’s sick when people do horrible things or hate others in the name of God.

Heather – Yeah, I’m the same way. I could have gone on and on but it never gets me anywhere but angry.

    T. – :sigh:
