What Happened to Kitty
So I came home last night and saw with my own eyes the young cat under our steps. It in fact looked like it was sleeping and all you could really see were the little legs. It was heartbreaking to see someone’s little furbaby all alone under there.
Still, I waited for Erik to get home so we could go next door to see if it was the neighbor’s cat but unfortunately he was not home. We went to a couple other houses, in case they knew for sure who’s cat it was, but nobody else was home.
We then went across the street to a house that belongs to a woman I met back when we were moving in. She oddly invited us into her home, excusing the mess profusely, and gave us a tour. I will just say it was a bit creepy and significantly messy. I think the lot of Jesus pictures and AA books through me off a bit but that’s besides the point.
We found out though, after she intially freaked out, that the cat was not hers so we later went back to the house next to us.
We met the guy, nice guy but refered to himself as a “recluse” or something like that :dunno: We asked if he had a cat and he responded with “why? is it dead?” and we responded with yes and it was under our deck.
With no sadness at all he said he couldn’t pick it up until this weekend so if we wanted to put it in a bag and dump it on his porch that would be fine.
I was worried about the owner crying and being hysterical but I think his response was much more disappointing :sob:
