No More Drama

If you’ve stopped by recently you could probably tell that my life was suddenly emersed in drama but today I’m shaking it off. This week is a big week and I’m not going to let pointless drama get in the way of that. You only buy your first house once

We brought BIL and SIL (Gemini) to see the house personally for the first time and that was fun. I finally got to get a  on the colors because I just needed a first hand second opinion. I think they really liked it or at least they were happy for us. My man was really glad to share it with his brother and my man and I are pumped up again :hyper:

We got so much packing done on Sunday, it’s almost hard to believe. The living room is full of packed up boxes and I now have 3 big trash bags of clothes for the Salvation Army  I feel such a relief to get rid of all of that stuff that I’ve been holding onto for no logical reason.

I even organized the clothing and such for storage! I just love organizing but I have to be in the mood for it. I have a container of fall clothes (mostly work clothes because right now I can dress down) and I have a container for clothes slightly too small but close enough that I feel it’s worthwhile to hold onto them.

My man has been working on the upstairs. One of the things I was so excited about this apartment was the upstairs but he made it into his shop to work in and it’s looked like this just about the whole time. I’ve never really even used the room since we’ve lived here :dunno: There is also the sunroom I’ve never used because we’ve had to store things there. You can imagine why I’m on a mission to get rid of things!
There is also the upstairs closet where we’ve stored a lot of things. This will be fun to empty in the next few week  I hope to put most of the stuff we’re moving out in the guest room, I guess we should take apart the bed.

Our apartment has not looked like this the whole time we’ve been here but we have had too much stuff, way too much stuff. It’s exhausting trying to sell off stuff but everytime I look around I realize how much we need to.

Anyway, my life is so full of wonderful things and I’ve worked hard to have the life I have now.  Dammit, I’m going to enjoy it!

Gawd I hate moving. The last two times I’ve moved, was moving mom and dad into a single story home so I didn’t have to maneuver mom up and down stairs, and I had to pack their HUGEASS house up by myself. Same thing when I finally convinced dad that we didn’t need that big single story home anymore, and we moved into this condo. The GoodWill and Salvation Army got buttloads of things from us, both times, and we got a pretty good tax write off for it too!

I need to try the tax write off thing, I’m sure we’ll need it.

I remember realizing how much crap we had right before we moved into our house. I felt like the packing would never end.

Luckily a lot of it is not mine so I don’t see it as MY problem 😉

Getting rid of things you never knew you had and things you could do without are great…I always try to do that when I move into a new place.
