Lack of Support

A support site is supposed to be for support and the giving of helpful advice?  Who better to need it than someone in the midst of a difficult situation that they don’t know how to get out of?

Telling someone to get over it and just do it is not advice.  I’m sorry if you’re annoyed and frustrated…try being in our shoes.  Don’t tell me we haven’t fought and haven’t tried because that is raving bullshit.  We’ve fought and we’ve lost, many many times.

Not all of us are built the same way and not all of us can just go and demand what we deserve and get it.  Sometimes the more we demand what we deserve the more we end up losing.

So stand back, put yourself in MY shoes, and maybe things might seem a little different.

I guess you can chalk it up to closed minds or Not really knowing the real story.

The thing is they do not know the story from your end only from what they think is going on. So they can only fill in the blanks with what they assume is happening. (you know what happens when someone assumes right???? yup they make an ASS out of U and ME..) :bitchslap:

No worries love! You get the love and support from the people that have lived the real life situation along side of you. :heartbeat:

Some people think way to highly of themselves and instead of giving support they give advice that is BS and totatlly rude… :flipa:

Gemini – Thanks. I guess it’s all about tact.

I hear the “more you demand something, the more you end up losing” thing. I can attest to that. Demanding respect/compassion/acceptance/understanding, etc., from people who will never give it to me — and that’s about them, not me — almost cost me someone I love, not to mention losing myself in the process.

For some, it’s easy to sit from the sidelines and say what the right thing is. It’s much harder to do things sometimes, and not everyone gets that. :duh:
