Sofa Love

We spent a good part of our day in New Hampshire looking for sofas. I’m sure this post would be significantly more interesting if I took pictures but I really didn’t think ahead.

Mind you the first 1/2 hour we spent in New Hampshire was me swearing because I was sure I knew how to get their without directions but I did eventually figure it out

We first went to Bernie & Phyls (yes those horribly annoying commercials) and I was surprised how great their sofas was were. Yeah they were fairly expensive but great quality.

After that we found Bob’s (I had remembered the Bernie & Phyls as where I thought the Bob’s was, that was when Erik gave me a look like I was a dumbass) and quickly found out just how much less expensive they are. The quality wasn’t as good as B&P but depending on whether we buy this all on our own will be our final decision.

In the end (after a little shopping) we hit Furniture World (hey we were in NH anyway might as well) and they had really good quality stuff as well. There was however a salesman following us around the whole time like a petaphile and I enjoyed losing him in the bedroom section.

I’d say we found a good 6 at least all together we liked and next weekend I want to make the purchase. If we need to change the color it can take weeks so I want to do it ahead of time. I’m so stoked to get my own sofa :yipee:

We have never actually bought a sofa together but somehow seem to own at least three, mostly gifts, etc. The weird thing is that none of them are in our house, they’re all furnishing my potential-mother-in-laws.

When I was furniture shopping up in NE I went to Bernie and Phyls thinking they would be inexpensive because that is what they tooted in their commercials. Oh hell no! I forget where I ended up buying mine though… :cheesy:

We’re in need of some new furniture as well. Down here in New Mexico, everything is a ‘Southwestern’ pattern. I have grown to hate our couches! However, they were given to us for free, so I guess I can’t complain too much. Wait…I’m complaining anyways! LoL :hyper:

JD – Just because it’s free doesn’t mean you don’t have a right to complain.
