Moving On Up

  • We did the inspection yesterday, things went well enough. I mean it passed and that’s what is important.
  • SIL and BIL are looking for a new house and already found a house they are interested in. I hope all goes well for them and they find the house of their dreams.
  • I’m just now starting to freak out about finances even though I know we’ll make it work. We’re both in a really good place and have paid off a significant amount of our debt but the whole thing is just daunting. It doesn’t help I just got 2 bills from the dentist but money things happen when you least expect it.
  • When it rains it pours, no truer of a statement ever for a time like right now.
  • It’s time to start the dreaded process of…packing. Shoot me now. We’ve had to do this 3 other times in the past 3 years and I’m so tired of it.
  • We’re also selling a lot of our furniture, we have just too much. Hopefully craigslist can help us out. Still, Erik does not want to part with a lot of it and I have to fight him tooth and nail. I don’ t know where he expects us to put everything. Storing shit for the sake of storing shit is too white trash for me. If we have no use for it I don’t want it.
  • I’m getting more interest in our furniture than I thought we would but some of it is really nice. We’d keep more than ½ of it if we had the room at the new place. I am glad though to get rid of things because I hate clutter. Hate it!
  • It hadn’t occurred to me if we sell too much of it we will have to figure out different places to put things. Gee, I hope the house works out :doh:

    Don’t let that get you. There will always be something that swoops in and costs a shit ton of money, and you will wonder how you will make it; but you will. And you will be fine. Sounds like you have it all on straight, no need to worry. Be excited!!! =o)

    Thanks Duane, ANY help is more than welcome. I posted about my color choices so far and we’re going to look at couches soon. I know we’ll be ok, it’s just so…big!

    I am so totally excited for you guys! I *so* HATE moving…… even when you have professionals come in and box up your stuff, put it on a moving truck, and haul it to the new location….. still a pain in the a$$. I’m not looking forward to doing it again, although with the kind of job Blake has….. I’m sure we will be. When …… we don’t know.

    I keep putting off the packing too. I’ve done a couple boxes of books but I’m really trying to sort things too and get rid of stuff. I have too much clothes and I really need to sort things. Ugh.
