Leftover Love

This is what we came up with as we were chatting before going to sleep. We came up with a country song, do you think Kenny Chesney would buy it?

Leftover love
in the back of the fridge
Then I got hungry
and lifted the lid
You were past your expiration date
Now I hunger for love but it’s way too late

I have certainly heard cheesier country songs taken seriously.

Yeah the scary part is I can see this as a real song

On first read actually, it seemed quite sad. I’m not a nutcase now, really!

I thought it was pretty poignant, like even though it’s referring to an object it could also refer to a person. An opportunity at love lost. It’s good!! (And I’m feeling a little sappy today. )

Sharlet – I think the point of the song was supposed to be a love lost kind of thing but the humor is that it’s referring to a love lost like leftover food that’s gone bad  It’s ok though, we all have those days.
