I found her
My friend who was among the “missing” for going on at least a year and a half I just found. I was skeptical I would find her at the place she used to work but I figured it couldn’t hurt to try right? To be honest most jobs she’s had she hasn’t kept for more than a few months but to my surprise when I called and asked for her name not only did she work there but was currently working when I called. Now that I’ve gone through all this grief I will need to bitchslap her when I see her. I also wonder if there was some unknown reason I haven’t heard from her, we will see.
I’m just so glad she’s ok.

April 21, 2006 at 12:09 pmYay! I’m glad you took that chance & called her…
Reminds me of Michelle Shocked’s song, Anchorage:
I took time out to write to my old friend
I walked across that burning bridge
Mailed my letter off to Dallas
But her reply came from Anchorage, Alaska
She said:
“Hey girl, it’s about time you wrote
It’s been over two years you know, my old friend
Take me back to the days of the foreign telegrams
And the all-night rock and rollin’… hey Shell
We was wild then

April 22, 2006 at 1:01 amGlad to hear you’ve found your friend! I’ve lost touch with so many of my friends from the past. I guess that’s what I get for moving so damn often in the past 10 years. Heh.
