Thirteen things I’ll admit to

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Things I’ll Admit To

1. My laziness and constant boredom constantly hold me back.
2. I’m not sure there is anything I’m really driven towards, I’m not sure where all my dreams went.
3. Sometimes it takes ALL my energy for the day just to get out of bed.
4. I hate making decisions for myself or following my gut…I don’t trust myself enough.
5. I’m somewhere between desperate and hopeless when it comes to losing weight, I’ve found it’s a really frustrating place to be.
6. I think I worry about everyone else so much so I can avoid my own problems.
7. Sometimes I wish I just wouldn’t talk at all because I just end up thinking about all the stupid things I said.
8. Tv for me is a form of addiction, watching tv means I can almost go into a haze where the rest of the world just doesn’t exist. I guess tv is a form of heroin for me.
9. I’m more judgemental than I’d ever admit to.
10. Most of the shopping I do is because it feels good, not because I need that new top.
11. Sometimes I miss my self-destructive days from many years ago…I felt I almost had more control and I was skinny.
12. I watch General Hospital religiously.
13. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

Thanks for sharing. I DO trust my instincts, and my instincts tell me that you are a really good person.

BTW, I used to have a tremendous problem with food. I finally solved it by keeping all the bad stuff completely out of my house and changing WHAT I eat, not how much I eat. Some foods, junk food for example, seem to STIMULATE my appetite rather than satisfy it. Now I totally avoid those foods. Fortunately, there’s still a lot of tasty things I can eat. I have gotten to the point where I actually love fruits and salads and freshly cooked lean meats.I never thought that would happen to me but it did.

You have done great losing your weight. Keep up the good work.

Gary – thanks, I should trust my instincts more…they are usually right. That is the best way to lose weight. I actually love fruits and veggies it’s just other stuff is more convenient most of the time. I’ve made a lot of changes and I’m learning a lot about myself. Thanks for stopping by.

    My 13 are up!

Thanks for sharing that list. I have problems with boredom and procrastination. I have soooo many things that I would like to get done, but my wants are always put on the back burner so that I can care for my family.

Geeze, Robin, you make it seem like all of the rest of us have our acts together. None of us know what we’re doing out here. I just blew my personal life into little itty-bitty pieces for the second time. Everyone around me thinks I’ve really got it together, but I’m just making it up as I go along like everyone else.

We’re all in the same boat. Come on out and join us! You can’t do any worse than me! 🙂

I like this topic, and may steal it in the future. I think it’s brave to admit things to yourself, let alone the rest of the world. (And my TT is up.)

I like what Cat had to say!

I’m pretty sure that the people who think that they really know what they’re doing, all of the time, are just pretending not to notice the chaos & random chance.

I can relate to most of those- on any given day. I hadn’t even realized the shopping issue, until a couple of years ago, after I’d been shopping, my husband asked if I felt better. thanks for stopping by my list.

It sounds like we have a lot of things in common, and not fun things, either. I especially identified with wishing you could never talk to people because it gives you things to obsess about. I want to stop obsessing over past stupid/embarrassing/awful things I’ve said/done, but I just can’t. I don’t know how. It’s ridiculous.

I use to watch soaps but haven’t in so many years. I’m sure I could tune in tho and know what’s going on as long as the people didn’t change. I can relate to #3. My 13 is up today 🙂

Oooh hun all that was me except the TV. Instead I drank. Oh and the General Hospital. I don’t have TV. I loved your list. Mine are up as well.
