Diets are boring

Everything bores me eventually.  Every few months I feel the need to move around furniture or even move to a new place.  Most of my relationships never lasted very long because partially I got bored with them.

Lucky for me there is nothing boring about Erik…there is always something new around the corner with him.  With Atkins or Weight Watchers or The Zone or whatever after a while I’m tired of the whole thing…it’s just so boring to count your food or eat the same low carb foods.

I would however like to cut something out, whatever it is that can make a significant difference.  I think sugar could definitely be a major culprit but how I love sugar so much.  I’ve already made a few changes such as eating more whole wheat, snacking at night less, eating smaller portions, no soda and a lot more water (thanks to lemon juice).

But we all know it’s all talk.  It’s all about making a point to do what we need to do to get to a place we need to get to.  I don’t believe it should be about suffering but it should be about committment to yourself.

You should try the Abs Diet… it isn’t really a diet, and there is NO Counting, other than, “how many meals did I eat today… it should be six!!”. I am on day 10, and I feel great. and I can tell I am losing weight. That is awesome!

The starches get me. I could eat pasta every day. I’ve even swapped to the whole grain pasta too. I have, however, changed from regular sugar to the Splenda. You can cook with it too. I haven’t noticed one bit that it’s not REAL sugar. I also love those crystal light packets…but I do still drink my diet sodas for the caffeine because I don’t drink coffee.
