Loneliness

Loneliness is often a painful and restless time. It leaves its traces, but these are marks of pathos, of weathering, which enhance dignity and maturity and beauty and which open new possibilities for tenderness and love. Loneliness is as much a reality of life as night and rain and thunder, and it can be lived creatively. So I say let there be loneliness, for where there is loneliness there is also sensitivity, and where there is sensitivity, there is awareness and recognition and promise.
