Random like Sunday morning

  • For the girls in the house you must check out this joke because it’s a good one.
  • The bridal shower yesterday was nice, luckily I had a friend there I could talk to otherwise I would have had to make awkward conversation. I’m always worried about talking to strangers at these things because I get nervous and say rediculous things.
  • I’m a little disappointed I didn’t watch the Golden Globes this year since so many wonderful people, shows and movies won. Brokeback Mountain got several, Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy won (she’s just great) and CSI won as well. Seems like people have a clue this year as to what is good and what isn’t.
  • I have a new renter (over on the side panel) who I have actually been reading for a while. She goes by Kentucky Gurl and she’s truly a joy to read. One really important part to a blog to me is when they are easy to read, when they are not long and drawn out because I always lose focus. She knows how to get to the point without dragging out the post forever. Anyway, go check her out!
  • This morning I took the time to make a mocha latte and yummmm…the idea of having a regular coffee anymore is too boring for words.
  • Oh and I can’t stop thinking about a different name for my blog, which would mean a new domain name as well. Would that be blogging suicide??

I changed my blog/domain name after about 5 years. I did it for several reasons, mainly because I wasn’t the same person I was when I registered the domain and because it was blocked by most content filters since I’d used it as a porn site at one point. I love a lot of hits, but gained a lot of readers, since the majority of my hits were more for my webcam than my writings.

Well the domain I have in my mind someone already uses for a blog (not domain) and I’d feel like I was jipping them. I just hate how everywhere I look someone has musings or muse in their title…I feel unoriginal.

LOL That joke was FABULOUS! hehe

And about the blog name & domain issue, could you maybe just use it was a subtitle? I’m so unoriginal in my blog title and domain name…heh. I’m of no use there.

I want to register a new domain also basically for the simple fact of blogging, I host quit a few people on Dreamtide, although I would like to eventually change over.

I might reigster one now and try to convert people over so they’re familiar with it before Dreamtide dies off.

I agree about keeping posts fairly short. Sometimes I can keep focused on long posts, but often I lose steam in the middle.

I wouldn’t switch your domain name… it is nice, and you have a following. Stick with what you know. =o) But hey, I am not fickle I would follow you!

Thanks Duane! I probably won’t change.
