Applebees Long Island Ice Tea Mixup?

So apparently there is a lawsuit by a mother that her 5 year-old was accidentally given a Long Island Ice Tea instead of an applejuice. From what I read the poor kid didn’t even really get a chance to enjoy the alcoholic beverage. But hey it’ll be a great story he can tell at a frat house years later 😛

I’d read that the mother had no idea what the kid was drinking, and even when he told her his juice tasted funny she told him to just drink it, and didn’t notice anything was amiss until the kid was drunk and laughing at nothing at all.

At least we know he didn’t drink and drive.

I remember when my brother and wife accidentedly gave their three year old an alcoholic pina colada!!! It’s funny now though.

You know, I’d probably be concerned about it, but would understand that mistakes happen. I might expect my meal to be comped or some other form of ‘apology’ from the manager. But, to sue them because of a simple mix-up?

I think these days anyone looks for a reason to sue. It’s unfortunate because it makes the world a very unpleasant place.
