I heard a ‘Rumor’

rumor.jpgDid you hear the rumor that The Graduate is based on a true story? Well that’s what the movie Rumor Has It is about and while it’s not entirely clear where the story is initially going it’s eventually does get predictable. Still it was fun and it was sweet. My two favorite parts of the movie were Shirley McLaine and Kevin Costner. The one scene they had together in it, she was rumored to be the Mrs. Robinson, was so much fun. I think I’d been waiting for the confrontation throughout the entire film.

Jennifer Aniston, well she did a pretty good job. I don’t know if she put too much of herself in the character Rachel from Friends or if the character became her but I just feel like I’m watching Rachel. I’m not sure if I’m the only one that feels that way but times when she was probably supposed to be sincere seemed like it was more of a over-the-top Rachel kind of sincere. Does that make sense? I still like her though, she’s got great style of humor and she’s just adorable to watch.

This is a DVD rental so wait for it to come to Netflix.

you’re just too much of a Friends fan to see Jennifer in anything but a Rachel role! Or maybe its that Rachel is so much like the real Jennifer, that most of her roles are portrayed Rachelesque. If you watch her in say, Along Came Polly, Rachelesque. She’s the One, Rachelesque. Picture Perfect, Rachelesque. Object of my Affection, Rachelesque……should I go on? She has quite a filmography!
