Am I Ungrateful?

I got to work this morning to find some gifts on my chair from co-workers, which is never a bad way to start the day. But is it asking too much to not get me X-mas gifts? Maybe it is but I mean what am I going to do with an ornament or a reindeer candleholder? I guess I can always give them away as presents. I mean I understand that whatever cards I get are usually X-mas related, which I’ve accepted since most people celebrate X-mas and most get their cards in bulk. I certainly don’t expect someone I work with to go out of their way to get me a non X-mas card or anything.

    I don’t think you are asking too much at all, if your co-workers know you (which they should) how hard would it be to get you something appropriate.

    Well considering my last name sounds very Jewish and the fact I slip in comments about Chanukah when I can you’d think they’d have taken a small note.

    Thanks that card is from last year, Pilot was gracing the card for this holiday season.

    when it comes to gifts, it’s always the thought that counts. just a thought…unless they’ve got nothing else to to do with a reindeer candleholder.

    You are absolutely right, it is the thought that counts but then again it just makes me sad everyone here is so delighted with their gifts and I’ve got to figure out what to do with an ornament.

    Thanks for that. I just don’t see why you can’t just get gifts for people that aren’t x-mas related…isn’t it easier that way?
