My Day is Shot

Well no work for me today. I thought I might go in late but it’s a winter wonderland out there. I don’t drive in snow like this. One time I decided to drive to work in a horrible snow storm and did a 360 on the highway.

Here is right outside my door (I live on a main street):

So I’m watching some things on DVR, spending time with the boyfriend and watching Pilot attack a battery operated cat.

    sounds like lots of fun…

Me I got to white knuckle it all the way home at 2:30 when I freaked out and said to my boss “Um I am leaving!”

she said “ok see you on Monday”

I was waiting for the big opposition.. but nothing just bye drive safe.. I have to say i skiped all the way to my car! until I started to drive.

They had yet to plow Maynard!!!

Good news though DH was smart enought to pay the teenagers accross the street to shovel the drive way!!!

Wee! no shoveling for me.. hehehe

Your hubby is a smart one. We luckily got someone to plow for us for $20 but I was gonna post later about that.

Early this year, I went to work through such a weather at like 6:30 am. I met a patch of black ice on the road, hidden under the snow. And my boss then wondered why I was grumpy when I arrived at the Big Annual Meeting, after having had all these thoughts of “ohshitohshitI’mgonnaDIE” cross my mind (I did a 180 on the road and ended up stranded on the other lane; had another car arrived at that moment, we’d both have been toast). If it happens again this year, I swear I tell them “sorry, can’t come”.

I’m quite sure your life is not worth your job.
