Raisins Ruin Everything

California Raisin Raisins are lovely on their own are fine but everywhere they just ruin everything.

My boyfriend was a little confused recently by my statement “raisins ruin everything” so the best I could explain it “You are enjoy a nice bowl of crunchy Raisin Bran and suddenly there is a chewy raisin to distract everything” or “You are enjoying a soft oatmeal cookie and suddenly a raisin comes out of nowhere and takes away from the oatmeal!” Raisins are one of my food pet peeves; one of the many.

I also can’t stand anything soggy or mushy. I always dip everything because I hate when the liquid soaks into whatever it is be it pancakes or french fries. As a matter of fact I generally like to keep all of my food nice and separate…I don’t like things mixed together.

I hate anything mint except the Girl Scout cookie that is mint. Just about everything mint reminds me of toothpaste and is a turn off. I never understood the obsession with mint ice cream.

I also hate pumpkin, which can be frustrating when the fall arrives and everywhere you go it’s pumpkin galore!

So keep your raisins, mint and pumpkin pies away from me and there won’t be any problems.

i HATE raisins… but I have ALL of those little California raisin figurines from back in the day. I am so going to sell them on eBay some day and retire in the Caribbean!

I agree regarding raisins in oatmeal cookies–chocolate chips are far superior. Also, pancakes must be dipped. Soggy pancakes are bloody awful!

(Never tried Raisin Bran. When my father bought it when I was a kid I would pick the raisins out because I hated raisins so much.)

Used to eat raisins when I was a kid – mum gave it to me, I just ate it. No questions asked, typical kid, hehe. I like to eat fruit cake with cherries but I would spend few minutes picking out the darn raisins, bleh. Say no to raisins, LOL! Kids, don’t try this at home 😛

Ha – I don’t like raisins ‘mixed’ with other foods. I like my food to be a nice even consistency. Lumps in my cream of wheat? ewww. A chewy raisin in my crunchy cookie? ICK! I also don’t like my food to touch and I’ll eat every type of food until it’s gone before moving on to another. It makes it hard when eating things like, say, stew? lol I find myself picking out and eating all the carrots, then the potatoes, then the meat and so on. So many food neurosis so little time 😉
