Why not blog?

There are millions of blogs out there but still most of the people I know (not online) don’t have blogs. Why would you not want to blog? I’m curious.

I find blogging to be one of the most enjoyable hobbies I’ve ever found. I can be creative and voice opinions and often even be heard.

There are so many people in my life that would make a really great blog. My MIL, BIL, my mother, my boyfriend and just about every single one of my friends that doesn’t have one. Although if they all had blogs I’d have to find a way to get paid to read them because it would become a full time job.

I guess what I wonder is though…is there a turnoff to people about blogging? Maybe I just don’t mind opening up to strangers about my personal life online or maybe I just have more free time than everyone else.

    I find that most of the people in my life think that blogging is either stupid, or just something that they are not interested in. I can’t even get most of my friends to READ my blog!!

    Ditto on everything you said. It would mean so much to me if my friends actually took the time to read my blog and maybe respond once and a while. I’m starting to think it’s just asking way too much.

    It is almost like leaving someone a voice mail, and then they ask you what it says!!! Just listen to it (friends always ask me what is going on, and I always blog about what is going on… see?)

    I think that, for some people, it’s a matter of time & motivation. Kind of like keeping a journal. Some people do it, some don’t. Some start, keep it for a few days, then let it slide.
